From Baku to Almaty: IDEA LLC Exports $1,500,000 Worth of Urban Furniture to Kazakhstan
A landmark $1,500,000 export contract with Kazakhstan's Sensata Grand brings IDEA LLC's full product range — pergolas, benches, litter bins, bike racks, and more — to one of Almaty's largest new residential developments.
An Export That Speaks for Itself
In February 2026, IDEA LLC signed a supply agreement with LLP Sensata Grand, a Kazakhstani developer based in Almaty, for the delivery of outdoor furniture and urban infrastructure products totaling $1,500,000 USD. To our knowledge, this is one of the largest export contracts ever concluded by an Azerbaijani manufacturer for finished outdoor products — not raw materials, not commodities, but fully engineered, designed, and manufactured urban furniture items produced at IDEA's facility in Baku.
The destination: a multi-apartment residential complex at 3G Auezov Street, Almalinsky District, Almaty, Kazakhstan — a large-scale residential development that will be furnished with IDEA products across its outdoor and common spaces.
The Products: Designed in Baku, Built for Almaty
The product range going to Almaty covers the full breadth of what IDEA manufactures — from large-format architectural pergola structures down to seating, waste management, and bicycle infrastructure. Each item is manufactured to technical specification, galvanized for corrosion resistance, and powder-coated for long-term durability in outdoor conditions.
The confirmed product list includes:
- Patio Benches
- Plain Bench with Coffee Stand
- Shape Circle Benches
- Viva Benches
- Viva Max Benches
- Barde Chair
- Pergola Models: Julienne, Collezione, La Defense
- Deep Bike Rack
- Bravo Litter Bin
- Occhio Litter Bin
This breadth of product variety — spanning seating, waste management, cycling infrastructure, and large-format pergola architecture — is a direct reflection of IDEA's manufacturing scope. Everything on this list is produced in-house, at IDEA's 7,000 m² facility in Baku.
How These Products Are Made
Every product being exported to the Sensata Grand project goes through the same production process that defines IDEA's quality standard. Metal components go through precision metalwork, followed by galvanization for structural corrosion protection and powder coating for a durable, weather-resistant finish. Wood components are treated with an impregnation and glue-lamination process to protect against moisture, decay, and outdoor conditions, and are finished with EN 71-3 certified water-based paint — the same safety standard applied to children's toys — ensuring the surfaces are safe for use in residential environments.
The pergola models — Julienne, Collezione, and La Defense — are among the most technically demanding items in the range. These are not prefabricated standard units. Each one is engineered to exact project dimensions, assembled and tested in Baku before disassembly and shipment, and supplied with full technical documentation and installation guidance.
Seating items like the Shape Circle Bench, Viva benches, and Barde chairs go through the same process — designed to specific dimensional tolerances, tested for load and finish consistency, and packed for long-distance international transport to Kazakhstan.
Why This Contract Matters for Azerbaijan
Azerbaijani exports are most commonly associated with oil, gas, and agricultural products. A $1,500,000 contract for engineered, design-led outdoor furniture — exported to a residential development in one of Central Asia's major cities — is a different kind of story. It shows that Azerbaijani manufacturing can compete internationally on product quality, design, and technical capability.
IDEA has previously delivered projects in Belgium and across the region. The Sensata Grand contract extends that reach into the Central Asian market — and at a scale that sets a new benchmark for what Azerbaijani manufacturers in this sector can achieve on the international stage.
